Annual Members Exhibition

Opening Reception: In lieu of a public reception, VCP will return to our normal Thursday through Sunday (12-5pm) business hours. We encourage you to come (with face masks) to see the show!

It’s that time of the year again when we celebrate the many members of the Vermont Center for Photography in this vibrant group exhibition. All VCP members were invited to participate which resulted in us displaying 92 images by 49 different regional photographers! The strength of VCP’s membership comes from its deep diversity of experience, photographic subject matter, style, and process. We will also note that we are delighted to see a strong representation of traditional/analog photographic processes – some of which date back to the mid 19th century – including silver gelatin prints, cyanotypes, platinum prints, wet-plate collodion, encaustic, and more! Please be sure to come see this exhibition in-person in our gallery any Thursday through Sunday between noon and 5pm.

Information for Participation:
• There is NO ENTRY FEE to participate, however members must be current with their membership dues. If you are unsure of your current status, please email info@vcphoto.org.
• Each participant may submit up to 3 framed (or “ready-to-hang“) pieces. There is no theme – show us what you’ve got! We only ask that you do not submit work previously exhibited at VCP.
• All submissions must be received by Sunday, August 30, 2020 at 5pm – no exceptions! Work can be delivered any time during business hours on or before that date.
• The number of pieces hung for display will depend on the total number of pieces submitted. Every member who submits work will have at least one piece displayed.
• Maximum dimension for submitted work is 40”, unless otherwise agreed upon by VCP.
• Members are responsible for delivering work to VCP by the noted deadline and picking up (or arranging shipment) following the exhibition. If you are mailing your work, please include a prepaid return shipping label. All packing material will be saved and reused.
• All participants must complete and include this exhibition contract with image titles, medium, and prices when delivering work to VCP: CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD. Please note that VCP retains 40% of any sales during the exhibition.
