ARTIST TALK: Peter Moriarty, Warm Room

Join us for an artist talk with photographer Peter Moriarty, exploring the work behind his book Warm Room: Photographs from Historic Greenhouses. Moriarty will share images from historic greenhouses across the US, UK, Belgium, and France, alongside architectural drawings and the proper Latin names for the plants captured within. He’ll also bring silver prints from his personal archive to enrich the conversation.

Copies of Warm Room will be available for purchase and signing at the reception following the talk. 🧡

 

 

About the artist: 

Peter Moriarty is represented by BigTownGallery in Rochester, VT. His prints are in numerous public collections (Addison, Eastman, Dartmouth, Princeton, Yale, V&A Museum and the Worcester Art Museum among others). He is also the author of Lotte Jacobi Photographs, published by David Godine in 2003. Peter holds a BA from UNH in Philosophy (1974), and an MFA in Photography from RIT (1979).
