FREE EVENT: Open Collage Workshop

Friday, August 7th, 2026, 5–8pm
Free & open to all

Join Alejandra Spruill during Downtown Brattleboro’s August Gallery Walk (August 7th, 5:00–8:00 pm) for a night of community and collaboration. Alejandra’s work explores the intersection of photography and collage and how institutional memory shapes our collective futures and archival histories.

For this August’s Gallery Walk, Alejandra and VCP invite the Windham County creative community to become part of that archive. Together, we’ll build a one-of-a-kind collaborative book that will live in our library.

Participants can experiment with collage, instant photography, sun-based crafts, and other mediums. Each person will get one 8×8 page in the book, plus the chance to make a personal collage to take home.

All levels welcome; materials will be provided (you’re encouraged to bring personal ephemera). You’ll leave with at least one finished collage and a repeatable workflow you can use at home!

Don’t worry about attending for the full duration, just drop in when you have some time! We look forward to seeing you there.
