IN CONVERSATION: Mark Tarmy & Lynne Weinstein
Saturday, February 14th, 2026 at 5:30pm
Free & open to the public

Arnold Newman, Georgia O’Keeffe, Ghost Ranch, NM, 1946
Join us for an engaging public conversation between Mark Tarmy, the collector behind the remarkable works featured in Icons in Hand, and Lynne Weinstein, photographer, previous photo editor at Life Magazine, and former Chair of the Art Department at The Putney School.
Together, Mark and Lynne will explore what it means to live with photographs: how Mark started collecting and what drew him to particular images. They will discuss specific images in the show and their significance from the perspectives of technique, meaning, and place in history. This conversation opens a window into the relationships between artists and collectors, and why photographic prints continue to matter in a screen-saturated world.
The conversation will invite questions from the audience and is open to all—whether you’re a photographer, collector, student, or simply someone who loves looking closely at photographs.
This event is free, open to all, and no advance registration is required. We hope to see you there!
