2018 Spring Members Exhibition

Exhibition: May 4 – 27, 2018
Reception: Friday, May 4th, 5:30 to 8:30pm

VCP’s members are truly at the heart of what makes this place tick! The continued generous support of our members allows us to assemble our monthly exhibitions, year round, as well as our educational workshops, artist talks, and public darkroom space. We are celebrating that dedication this month with a vibrant group exhibition featuring the work of 19 of our 175+ members. Subject matter and photographic medium vary greatly, but stand together as a symbol of their communal dedication to the photographic medium.

Exhibitors include: Andrew Baris, Larry Mizrahi, Bob George, Doug Frank (1959-2016), Matt Jiggins, Jean Germain, Jean Lauziere, Carol Pike, Bob Alter, Judy Unger-Clark, Kate Cleghorn, Lynne Weisntein, Iggy Beerbower, Nicole Vigna, Marilyn Di Carlo – Ames, Paul Miller, Al Karevy, Cherrie Corey, & Geoff Bluh.

This exhibition is dedicated to the late Douglas E. Frank – a dear friend, member, and board member of VCP – who passed away after a lifelong illness in June of 2016. A special edition book, “Many Hats”, was published in 2017 and will be available for purchase at the gallery. All proceeds from the sales will go directly to the newly established Douglas E. Frank Educational Scholarship Fund, created by VCP in his name, to support individuals seeking to attend workshops at VCP, regardless of their ability to pay.
