WORKSHOP: “Showing Your Artwork Professionally”

For artists working in all media who are ready to take the next step towards exhibiting, publishing and marketing their work, this one-day workshop will cover the basics you need to get started or improve on the promotional materials you have already produced.

The essentials of how to prepare your work for gallery submission and juried shows, along with the importance of editing your portfolio will be covered.

You will get tips on writing or improving your artist statement, resume and curriculum vitae along with the “nuts and bolts” of doing your own press release and publicity.

Participants should bring a portfolio or sample prints of their work, with any/all of the written supporting materials mentioned above, even if they are just first drafts, or “works in progress” so that we may work on them during class.
