WORKSHOP: How to Get Your Own Solo Exhibition

Course Description
Ron will speak about developing a theme and getting know for your theme. I’ll cover the best way to develop prints for an exhibition, including museum quality finishing, matting and framing. I will also talk about “creating an audience,” a topic I learned from Minor White in 1967. Finally, I will talk about the ‘Business” of an exhibition. Please bring a bagged lunch and a notebook for taking notes.

Instructor
ronKnown internationally for his teaching, Ron Rosenstock has shown his photography in over one hundred group and solo exhibitions world wide. He studied with noted photographers Paul Caponigro and Minor White, going on to publish six books of his own work along with numerous portfolios and articles that have appeared. He is a member of the U.S. State Department’s Art for Embassies program. His recent exhibits include Hymn to the Earth at the Worcester Art Museum in Worcester, Massachusetts, in 2012 and Inspirations at the National Museum of Iceland in Reykjavik, Iceland in 2014. www.ronrosenstock.com

Cost
The workshop is $125 for non-members and $100 for VCP Members.
